Venice Fashion Week
Venice Fashion Week 2024: the event for sustainable fashion returns to Venice
From October 21 to 27, 2024, Venice will once again be the hub of sustainable fashion with the new edition of Venice Fashion Week. This event, conceived and curated by Venezia da Vivere in collaboration with the Municipality of Venice, highlights Italian artisanal excellence through a rich program of events that include fashion shows, conferences, workshops, exhibitions, and meetings with designers and creatives.
The central theme of this year embraces three fundamental pillars: craftsmanship, sustainability, and inclusion. The 2024 edition will explore innovative projects and sustainable paths, working together to transform Venice into a sustainable destination. This continues the discussion initiated in 2018 with the conference “Make it last,” which presented Venice as a laboratory for designing sustainable lifestyles, and then in 2019 with the Sustainable Fashion Day organized with the British consulate, with Marina Spadafora of Fashion Revolution Italy, British Ambassador Jill Morris, and designers Patrick McDowell and Tiziano Guardini.
As usual, Venice Fashion Week will animate historic palaces, residences, and public spaces in the lagoon city, involving the communities of Venetian creatives and digital communicators, who are called upon to imagine and represent the future of fashion.
This event stands out for its commitment to supporting young talents, promoting both emerging designers and established brands, and its dedication to enhancing Venetian high craftsmanship. The week’s events will range from fashion shows, performances, exhibitions, and talks held in exceptional locations such as luxury hotels, art galleries, boutiques, and ateliers.
Venice, a city renowned worldwide for its history and unique artisanal skills, is the perfect setting for an event that celebrates resilience, inventiveness, and the art of living on a human scale. Venice Fashion Week is not just a fashion event but a networking platform that aims to promote Venice as a capital of High Craftsmanship and as a reference point for innovation and excellence in the sector.
