The Lido incontra Festival: France and its francophone culture.
The Lido incontra Festival is back, and this year it takes us to France.
After the interruption caused by the pandemic, the Lido incontra festival has returned to the island. For several years, this event has aimed to recount the relationships between Venice and the people who have had – and still have – a privileged relationship with the lagoon city.
After the 2016 edition dedicated to Jewish culture and the 2018 edition on Armenian culture, in 2022 the Lido meets France and French-speaking culture, which began on 2 April and will continue with a packed programme of events until 15 October.
Organised by the Lido and Pellestrina Local Tourist Board in collaboration with the Alliance Française of Venice, Institut Français and Ca Foscari University, the Festival brings the Lido six months of conventions and conferences, film screenings and shows, book presentations and food and wine events.
The events are free of charge, except for film screenings and food and wine evenings.
