The prestigious banking family had lived between two splendid palaces situated few steps away from each other: Cà Alberti  and Cà del Borgo.

In order to escape from the virulent strain of bubonic plague that had devastated the city, they sailed away to the Americas. Pietro Alberti is still remembered and commemorated for having given birth to the first Italian community in New York, whose descendants still bear this Italian last name.

The old mansion represents now a refined relais that recollects the pride of the Venetian Republic in a contemporary way.

All the rooms are furnished in the Venetian style, with richly decorated walls, brocades, rich fabrics, painted ceilings: all the rooms are unique, different one from the other, and bear the names of great doges and Dogaressas of the past.
All the bathrooms are decorated with the Carrara marble, to provide the highest quality to our guests.

Le Locandiere is a food and wine green laboratory, a culinary pride that combines highly original flavors and ancient traditions.
