Where to buy your Venice entry fee

Travel tips

FROM APRIL 25TH 2024 THE TRIAL OF THE VENICE ENTRY FEE WILL OFFICIALLY BEGIN.

On certain specific dates between April and July, occasional visitors to the Old City of Venice will be required to book and pay the entry fee (€5 per day) in order to gain access to the historic centre via a QR code.

For 2024, those wishing to directly come to the Lido and the other smaller islands in the lagoon, do not have to pay the fee or apply for the exemption. However, if you wish to travel from the Lido to the Old City, you will have to book and buy the entry fee to Venice.

Exempted categories include commuters, residents in the Veneto region and spouses and family members of residents of the Old City of Venice or the islands.

Guests of accommodation facilities on the Lido di Venezia are also exempt from the entry fee, but must book to enter the historic city centre. So, where to buy your entry fee to Venice?

Register on the website, enter your details (name and date) and receive your exemption voucher.

See here all the categories exempted from paying the entrance fee and fill in your request here.
