Reaching the Lido di Venezia is easier than it may seem.
The island is connected to Venice and the mainland by ferry lines (AVM/Actv) with accessible berths and dedicated seats for wheelchair users. The Lido is also a perfect starting point to discover the lagoon by following accessibility-friendly itineraries.
To get around the island you will find buses with platforms and reserved seats for wheelchair users, or parking spaces with dedicated bays if you prefer to get to the Lido by car.
At the Lido di Venezia, the sea is truly for everyone. Organised by the Venetian branch of the Lega Navale Italiana and the San Camillo Hospital Foundation, the “Vela per tutti” initiative aims to bring people with disabilities closer to the sea and the pursuit of water sports.
